I Am really enjoying my visit to the site. My late Great Uncle Marvin Bigby told me about this site but I am just now finding time to visit. My Killough Ancestor was Elizabeth Killough who married Martin Phillip Scott and resided in the Johnson Co. Texas Area. I live only a few miles from Jacksonville but am ashamed to say that I have yet to make the renuion. Maybe next year.

I am decended from Martha Kellough & John Wesley Brown of Cedar Grove, Carroll County TN as listed on the 1850 census through their son Samuel Leonard Brown.. I would so much love to find someone who can confirm who Martha's parents were.. My grandfather said her father's name was Samuel but I have not been able to confirm that. Research indicates that the Killough/Kellough and Brown families came up from Alabama possibly Jackson or Lauderdale Counties to Tennessee.

Over here we have reproduced at a phenomenal rate and have now established a very large family circle. I would be interested to hear from any other Killoughs (the world over) to see what my name-sakes are up to. See and have a nice day. God Bless.

They moved from Green Co., AL to Houston Co., TX where most of their children were born. Later they moved to Larissa TX and built a log house directly across the road from the entrance to the Killough Monument. There they raised 9 children: Tommie, Alice, Henrietta, Emma, Jesse, Johnny, Monroe, Lee and Etta. Can anyone tell me who were Margaret Melissa Killoughs parents and siblings. My mother told me we are related to this family -- how I don't know, but we would like to order 2 copies of both books mentioned on your web site -- a set for my mother, Mary (Loden) Pettiette, and a set for me. It's late tonight, so I'll call the listed number in the morning. Nice web site! Thank you, Rita P. Hunt Baton Rouge, LA (225)292-3573

Thank you Zora for this Killough family web page! As you and I have discussed during the year....my research in the Killough family continues for the parents of the elusive W.R.F.Killough, aka Frank of Jefferson Co., AL (1850-1880s)and, as of 1999, in the LDS Family History records as Frank Randolph in Jefferson Co AL.

I am the great, great grandaughter of Uncle Billy Killough. I am so excited to see a guestbook. I think it is awesome that we are on the internet!! Reading Uncle Billy's story (although I have been told the story many time by my grandfather Jeff Lee Killough)on the internet for the whole world to read is amazing. I am very interested in the Irish ancestors, so anyone with information or story's about them please e-mail me.
